Hey, Parents and Kids! Our lessons during The Journey of “Bridging Faith & Future” will follow the outline used for Adult Life Groups and Sunday sermons.
Our lessons are from the Bible book Nehemiah, named after the man known for leading the repair of the wall around the Israeli city of Jerusalem. This happened in about 445 B.C. This week, we will look at Nehemiah arriving in Jerusalem with the supplies King Artaxerxes gave him for the project. Now, the work has to get done. Nehemiah inspired the people by telling what God did in the heart of King Artaxerxes to grant permission to build the wall. Then we read who joined in the work.
We suggest you ask the following questions to check out what your child learned this Sunday.
Check-In for Faith Kids, Nursery – Grade 6, use Door #10. This eases traffic flow and other benefits.
Faith Kids Preschool meets in the Children’s Hallway. Parents can drop them off and pick them up in Room C-33.
Faith Kids Lower Elementary (K-3rd grade) and Preteens (4th-6th grade) start in Room F-38, the Family Center Gym, and are picked up at Room F-38, the Family Center Gym.

- What did Nehemiah say that got people to work together on this project? (The hand of God was upon him and the words of the king.)
- What did the people do when Nehemiah challenged the people: “Let us rise up and build?”
- How did the work get done? (People took sections of the wall, worked together, and finished the wall.
- Why is it important to listen to the leaders God puts in our lives?
