What Child Is This? Luke 2:25-38
Pastor Jeff leads us this morning in a study of two of the lesser known characters related to the birth of Christ – Simeon and Anna. Their divine encounters with the Christ child take place in Luke 2:25-38. Both Anna and Simeon were in the temple where they had been waiting for “the consolation of Israel.” They found that consolation in the Person of the baby Jesus. Sermon Outline:I. Simeon Witnessed a Glorious Redeemer (vv.25-35)
A. The man exemplified high moral character
B. The message was given with divine clarity
II. Anna gave Praise for a Gracious Redemption (vv.36-38)
